Un’Isola a Milano

The Concept
Isola is a neighborhood rich in history and tradition; it originated as a working-class district—and not merely in a sociological sense—where a distinct culture took root and entrenched itself like a kind of homeland, and where the physical and architectural characteristics became markers of identity and distinction from the surrounding urban landscape.
The place name Isola was frequently used in the irrigated lands of Lombardy. Groups of fields bounded by watercourses appeared as veritable “islands.”
“Un’Isola a Milano” is a twist on the classic Martinez cocktail, featuring a bitter and tropical profile derived from exotic ingredients like passion fruit and osmanthus flowers, all balanced by the bittersweet notes of Aperol, apricot liqueur, and Lillet Blanc.
